A Dry Riverbed Garden

The homeowner felt guilty about using so much water to keep her lawn green.
We came to the rescue with a water-saving design that included an avocado tree, and a sitting area where she could enjoy the view while enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. She didn’t want to use pavers for the outdoor sitting area so we recommended use of decomposed granite.
Because there wasn’t a downspout we couldn’t put in a water garden but we did include a dry river bed with boulders that helps capture rainwater and adds an interesting visual element to the garden landscape.
